The surprises (even the darker ones) make the story all the more compelling and believable, and they are always balanced with just the right spark of Chase’s signature wry wit. There was one event in particular that I totally did not see coming—but I won’t give it away here! You’ll want to jump right into this story that picks up where Cold Hit left us hanging.
